Farmers Market: Vendor Application
GALAX FARMERS MARKET VENDOR APPLICATION
The Galax Farmers Market will be open from June 1st thru October 26th, 2019. The market is open on Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 pm. Galax has a beautiful facility for the Farmers Market, but success depends upon the support and participation by producers as well as customers. A covered area with electric power is provided as well as bathrooms and a small kitchen area.
Locally grown produce, meats, flowers, homemade bread, baked goods, and canned goods may be sold. Plants (both for flowers and vegetables) are encouraged to be sold at the appropriate times, especially in the spring. Churches, civic organizations, rescue squads and other non-profit groups may sell food, baked goods, etc. at the market to raise funds for their organizations.
Although the market is primarily a farmers market, approved craft and art items are allowed. Only craft and art items made by the vendor may be sold. Not items bought for resale or flea market/garage sale type items are permitted. Items that do not meet standards will be turned down or removed.
No set-up fee will be charged. However, each vendor must complete, sign and return a “Vendor Application” form. Each vendor is responsible for abiding by all federal, state and local rules, regulations and laws. Market spaces are available. Each vendor is responsible for cleaning up his/her area at the end of each market day.
For a vendor application you must see the farmers market manager on Saturdays at the Market from 8 am to 12 noon.
